I went to LA yesterday with my art history class. We are currently studying Mexican muralists and female Mexican artists. The first stop we made was the Judy Baca mural that she did with a bunch of kids in the 70s. It was over a mile long! Then we went to LACMA to see an exhibition on female Mexican surrealist artists. I submitted the applications for two grants last week. I really hope I get one of them. This would be an amazing opportunity for me to get more sewing experience and see how others express their creativity through fashion. I have so many ideas for some of my own projects, and this grant would make it all a reality. Excited much! Seamstress in the making. <3
